Jordan Becker

Founder / Director

After spending his formative years growing up in upstate NY, Jordan attended Northeastern University in Boston, graduating in 2006 with a degree in English Literature and Philosophy. In 2012, Jordan purchased Pier Pizza in North Kingstown and shortly after instituted the Let’s Read Rhode Island program that was inspired by a similar program run by Pizza Hut that Jordan had enjoyed in his youth. In 2015, Jordan purchased Pier Pizza in Wakefield and formalized Let’s Read by incorporating and filing for 501c3 non-profit status.  Jordan has used his free time serving on the NK Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors from 2014-2017, writing several articles published in the RI Small Business Journal and exploring New England on his motorcycle.  He is currently keeping very busy running his two businesses, mentoring elementary school Chess Club at nearby Quidnessett Elementary, and working hard on expanding the breadth and scope of the Let’s Read RI program.

Stephanie McKiernan


Stephanie McKiernan brings more than 25 years of experience in education field to the Let’s Read program. She is currently working as a Reading Specialist and Consultant at the Suzanne M. Henseler Quidnessett Elementary School in North Kingstown, RI. During her tenure at the North Kingstown School Department, Stephanie has served on the District Technology Committee where she gives input as a Technology Lead Teacher. Currently, Stephanie is the chairperson on such building level committees as the School Improvement Team, the Response to Intervention Team, the Reading Week Committee and is a member of the Data Committee. Stephanie holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Elementary Education as well as, a Masters Degree in Reading Education from the University of Rhode Island. She was honored in 1990 with the Presidential Award for Education. She also received the 2001 NK Walmart Teacher of the Year. Stephanie loves to read, teach reading and share the joy of reading with others. She is very proud to be a member of the Let’s Read initiative, as it assists spreads joy of reading with young people.

Reggie Wilcox


Reginald is a graduate of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio with a Masters in Health Administration; Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership. He also received his Liberal Arts Degree from Columbus State Community College in Columbus, Ohio. Reginald currently works as the Admissions Director for South County Nursing and Rehabilitation in North Kingstown, RI. He’s also Co-owner of Massage Envy ( East Greenwich, Cranston, Lincoln and Wayland Square) which promotes therapeutic massage in the form of a health and wellness program. Let‘s Read RI has and will continue to make a difference in students’ lives and he is very excited to be a part of such a worthy cause.

Drew Schoettler


Drew attended The Los Angeles Recording School in 2010 and acquired a degree in Recording Arts. In 2017, he will acquire a BS in Advertising at Johnson and Wales University – Providence. He now currently works for Omnia Agency in Providence, RI as a Digital Marketing Specialist. Being a part of Let’s Read RI has truly inspired Drew to encourage kids to read and be more involved in his community.

Louis Colavecchio


Louis was born and raised in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. After graduating from South Kingstown High School, he attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he studied business and economics. Upon his return to Rhode Island, he worked as an investment advisor managing funds for high net worth individuals and businesses. He left the advising world and started Coddington Capital Management, a private placement investment fund that seeks to capitalize on volatility, a need he saw unmet in the traditional investing world. Louis is passionate about children’s’ literacy and believes that anything is possible with drive and access to knowledge that books can bring. He looks forward to helping Let’s Read impact the lives of Rhode Island’s future generations.

Danielle Anderson


Danielle hails from Massachusetts. She spent her early career working in management roles for luxury retail brands. She took a break for a few years after marrying her husband Kevin and the US Navy. They moved around and started a family; finally settling in Kevin’s hometown of North Kingstown.  Danielle went back to work as the Business Development Manager at Swipe for a Cause. A local startup whose core mission is hospice fundraising through credit card processing. She helped grow the brand and personally serviced over 120 clients. Recently, she teamed up with her husband as Co-Founder of SBS Consulting New England, a small business consulting company. SBS is dedicated to helping small businesses succeed by helping them make better decisions and attract more clients.  She also volunteers on the Branch Council of the West Bay YMCA in North Kingstown.  Danielle has three children in the North Kingstown schools and the whole family loves the Let’s Read RI program! Danielle was born and raised in Massachusetts. She attended Dean college. She currently resides in North Kingstown with her husband and three young children.
